How to Make ”Perfect Smoothie” with Zero Damage to Teeth?

Lemon, orange, passion fruit, kiwi, green apple, pineapple. Such acidic foods all cannot be blended into smoothies, and this acid can wear down tooth enamel by dissolving the mineral structure of the teeth.

Drinking smoothies 4-5 times a week or more can put your teeth at risk – especially when consumed alone or between meals.

Now let’s make a summer-perfect smoothie. First I’ll consider less acidic foods like spinach and bananas, next I’ll add buffered ingredients like yogurt, milk or a milk substitute. Then I would enjoy it with a straw to reduce the contact of the smoothie with my teeth, while I would drink it with a meal to buffer the acidity.

I don’t brush my teeth immediately after drinking the smoothie, which would increase wear and tear on my teeth, allowing the acid to penetrate deeper and wear down more of the tooth surface.

Do you get it? Let’s try now!
