How to Clean Your Toothbrush?

What if I told you there are thousands of bacteria on your toothbrush? Did you know that bacteria thrive in a dark, moist environment, like your toothbrush? The toothbrush is the perfect place for them, because the bristles of the toothbrush get covered with water, toothpaste, food debris and bacteria at least once a day, and if you have just had a cold or flu, they can still harbor viruses, But how do you clean your toothbrush when you know it’s used three times a day and returns to your mouth full of food debris, saliva and even more bacteria?

So, how to clean your toothbrush quickly and easily?

To keep your toothbrush in optimal condition, you should clean it after every use. To do this, soak the bristles in an antibacterial mouthwash for 30 seconds and move them around. Do not soak your toothbrush in the mouthwash for more than 15 minutes and don’t reuse the rinse after you have used it for cleaning. Or dilute a teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide in a cup of water and swish your toothbrush in the solution before putting it in your mouth. If you like, you can also soak the bristles in vinegar and leave them overnight. Do this once a week.
